SBA 8(a) Business Development Program

As a certified participant of the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Program, RedSky is eligible to receive sole-source contracts up to a ceiling of $4.5 million for goods and services and $6.5 million for manufacturing. The 8(a) program helps small, disadvantaged businesses build their competitive and institutional know-how. 8(a) firms are also able to form joint ventures and teams to bid on contracts. This enhances the ability of 8(a) firms to perform larger prime contracts and overcome the effects of contract bundling, the combining of two or more contracts into one large contract.

SBA WOSB/EDWOSB

RedSky is a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA).  To help provide a level playing field for women business owners, the government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Contracting program.

These contracts are for specific industries where WOSBs are underrepresented. Some contracts are restricted further to economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSBs).

Joining the WOSB Federal Contracting Program makes a business eligible to compete for federal contracts set aside for the program. Firms can still compete for contract awards under other socio-economic programs they qualify for.
